  1. A summary of the growing mythology of Trump and how his skill as an entertainer helped him grasp the symbols coalescing around him. Of course, his standing up after the assassination attempt and yelling “fight” was kindling to a fire long prepared.

Those young men didn’t show up to vote. They showed up, as Trump had urged them, to fight. They came to fight for a future the Hag Shack was prepared to hand over to malleable foreigners, to the mentally and spiritually diseased, to ring-kissers and brown-nosers, to the connected few who bent the knee to DEI, trading their heritage for soup.

  2. Why do men fall for terrible women? A call to put aside childish passions.

There are many reasons for the modern divorce rate, but the idea that women should be allowed emotional free rein and that men should love them for it is surely one of them. Men get tired of women who act like children.

  3. What it’s like to be a novelist. Publishing one acclaimed book doesn’t guarantee success. A fascinating read.

[Books] are a big investment of time and to have not one, but two of them that might otherwise have had a reasonable expectation of success — probably arrogance on my part — but still, many times an author who gets published once can get published a second time. And so far, I just haven’t come up with anything that anybody agrees is worth pursuing.
